The wedding ceremony. It is the moment you have always dreamed of. You have the perfect moment planned...if only you could remember the music that was playing in your dream!
Choosing great ceremony music remains one of the most difficult parts of planning your big moment. There is so much pressure to create a PERFECT ceremony that it often leaves you completely blanking. It is so important to remember that PERFECT is a loaded word, that there is truly no such thing and that your version of PERFECT could be absolutely silly to someone else.
The most important thing is that YOU are moved by the music (hopefully to the point of tears depending on your confidence in your hair & make-up artist). The songs that you love will always be totally unique to you and your fiance and your own amazing love story.
HOW MANY SONGS WILL I NEED?
Most modern wedding ceremonies will include 4 songs: 1 Processional for the Bridal Party, 1 Processional for the Bride, 1 Song for Register Signing and 1 last fun song for the Recessional. They will often sound soft and beautiful with musicians performing lovely instrumental melodies like the example of our Duo performing MARRY YOU in the example here ->
A) PROCESSIONAL FOR ATTENDANTS - something nice, but not as nice as the bride's song
B) BRIDAL PROCESSIONAL - something beautiful enough to make everyone cry
C) REGISTER SIGNING - meaningful to both the bride and groom
D) RECESSIONAL - upbeat and fun
WHAT SONGS DO PEOPLE NORMALLY CHOOSE?
Things have changed! While wedding ceremonies traditionally only included classical pieces like "Here Come The Bride", "The Wedding March" and "Pachelbel's Canon In D", you are now free to choose absolutely any song that you love the most.
