This week I am focusing on a topic that many of my friends have been bugging me to write about all year long: Disney Wedding Songs! Yes, I am no stranger to the wonderful world of Disney myself and especially at this time of year with Christmas right around the corner, I find my heart warmed by the sights and sounds of this magic kingdom. As it is still not quite early enough to put up the holiday lights without drawing dirty looks from my neighbours, I thought it the perfect time instead to focus my energies on how to integrate Disney songs into your magical wedding moments. Some of these songs are super obvious, others are forgotten treasures that can all be used for your ceremony, dinner or dance. Let your happy childhood memories pave the way with which ones are best suited for you. For me personally I watched Disney's "Robin Hood" a thousand times as a kid (on video in the 80s/90s, I'm not actually old enough for the original movie run, I swear!) Whenever I hear the title song it just make me happy, bringing back glorious childhood memories in all of their original whistling & guitar-picking glory. So long as you are putting together the soundtrack of your life, don't forget the early years. Especially through dinner and dance, if any of your friends share those memories it will surely leave to a dorky Disney-inspired sing-a-long. If that sounds like fun to you, then this list below is for you (everyone else will just have to wait for next week's blog instead...hold onto your express pass, we are about to go down the Disney mouse-hole together!) CAUTION: By no means are we encouraging a Disney-themed wedding! These songs are to be used in moderation only in consideration of the general wellness of your friends and family.
DISNEY FIRST DANCE SONGS If you are looking for a magical first dance, look no further than the magic kingdom. Go ahead and play out those visions of fairy tale romance. After all, you are dressed like a princess, you might as well play a song that fits. CAUTION: Using the Beauty and the Beast song absolutely carries the subtext that one of you is less than beautiful. CAN YOU FEEL THE LOVE TONIGHT The Lion King
