*** There are few better ways to get a party started than with some cool R&B ->
Cool TO parties call for cool R&B throwbacks! From upscale galas on King Street to funky parties at lofts in Leslieville, this city's music IQ is as high as they come. While Jazz, Pop and Motown are great for setting the mood early on, there is a point in the party where extra energy and excitement are required to push the dance floor into a frenzy. Look no further than these exciting gems for making shoulders and feet start moving, inviting conversation, laughter and most important dancing! The best part about it is that it all happens naturally with these smooth old favourites, letting the party build energy without any jarring announcements or disruptions that would otherwise offend the light-hearted conversationalists in the room. This week's songlist is divided into three parts, the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. This is the generation of music that invited righteous rapping and funky beats over top of gracious R&B melodies. We included three examples of our band's interpretation of these songs that we often perform in a late dinner or early dance set. Always fun to mix LIVE versions with the original recordings in a late-nite DJ mix. Best enjoyed with cocktails and friends / Disclaimer: We will not be held responsible for lapses in 2020 social distancing protocol ;)
